The week of October 21st to October 25th is very special because it is Red Ribbon Week. This week is all about standing up against drug abuse and promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Liberty had a lot of fun activities planned, including different themed dress-up days that encourage everyone to get involved and show support for this important cause.
Liberty kicked off the week on Monday by wearing red. Everybody dressed up in red shirts, pants, and accessories, which was awesome! It felt great to come together as a community and show that we’re all saying no to drugs.
On Tuesday, we decided to have some fun, so everyone dressed up as minions! The theme was “Minion Reasons to Say No to Drugs,” and it was a blast. Everyone wore their yellow shirts and blue overalls, making the hallways feel cheerful. It was a fun way to remind each other about the importance of staying drug-free while having a good time.
Wednesday brought some creativity as we teamed up with friends and wore outfits that rhymed with each other. It was cool to see all the different combinations—like “PJ” and “DJ” or “rapper” and “napper” This day was all about teamwork and friendship, showing that we can support each other in making good choices.
Thursday was a favorite for many students. We all showed up in our pajamas to “put drugs to sleep.”. Everyone loved the chance to wear pajamas to school while still spreading the important message that drugs shouldn’t be a part of our lives.
Finally, we wrapped up the week on Friday by “accepting the challenge to say no to drugs” by wearing our favorite sports jerseys. This was a great way to celebrate teamwork and school spirit, reminding us that we can rely on each other to make positive choices.
Overall, Red Ribbon Week was not just a week of fun dress-up days; it was a meaningful time to learn and talk about the importance of saying no to drugs. Everyone had a good time and made some great memories while also spreading a serious message that will stick with us for a long time.
