I asked ten students at our school what their costume is, who are they going with and, what their plans for hallo-weekend are. Starting with costumes; 9/10 people I interviewed dressed up. All their costumes were funny things including a pickle and the Lorax. Four students went with a group of friends, two students passed out candy with friends, and the rest did not have plans at the time of the interview. This year all students but one went trick-or-treating.
At Liberty, we had lots of people doing the tradition way of trick-or-treating! But, many people have been complaining about a new form of trick-or-treating; trunk or treat. Trunk or treat is when cars meet up in a large parking lot and set up similar to a tailgate. Participants decorate the back of their car and pass out candy. Users on social media are upset with this new trend because it is not traditional, and “no one comes to houses anymore.” Thankfully, that is not true for the Edwardsville area, many kids were trick-or-treating. What do you think about the new trend?
