On October 4th, 2023, students from Isibindi and Protos become one by meeting at EHS’s Winston Brown Field to have a fun time. This “meeting” was called a tailgate party. The tailgate party was members from Lincoln and Liberty and Isibindi and Protos members becoming one and having a good time and supporting their school’s football teams.
Mrs. Lask is a 6th grade teacher and Protos’s Head of House. Mrs. Lask said, “It is always a good time to get to go to events, and it was fun to see students outside of school. It was fun to see the teachers from Lincoln, too.” Protos and Isibindi teachers had to arrive early to prepare for the students to arrive. “It was the first year, so we didn’t know what all to do,” Lask commented about the event.
“We had a ton of Protos and Isibindi come out in their house spirit wear, having fun together. They all enjoyed the special treat,” said Mrs. Quivey, an Isibindi Advisor at Liberty. Lots of Isibindi and Protos students showed up to show their house spirit and have fun.
“Overall, it was really fun to see people from Protos and other kids from Lincoln I haven’t seen in a while, ” says Shiloh Imboden, a 6th grade student in Isibindi. Shiloh continued, “It was ok. It wasn’t really a tailgate. Once you got there, you just ran around.”
The tailgate was a very fun event and a great way to socialize with other Isibindi and Protos members. This was also a great way to meet Lincoln students.
