The boys’ basketball season is approaching, and the Panthers are eager to engage in competition. Kane Colbert, an 8th grader, said, ” I feel like we will do good overall. We have good players playing this year, so I am confident that we are going to be a good team.” The 8th grade team currently holds a record of 2-0 after competing against Carriel Middle School and Fulton Middle School. Despite trailing by 10 points in the first half of the Carriel game, the Panthers managed to stage a comeback and secure the victory.
The 7th grade team currently has a record of 1-1 following their matches against Carriel and Fulton Middle School. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams will face their cross-town rival, Lincoln Middle School, on the 15th of November. Both games will be hosted at Lincon Middle School. The 7th grade team will start at 3:30pm and the 8th grade team will start at 4:30pm. Both teams are working hard to enhance their skills and are expected to continue improving.
