There are all kinds of instruments to play and enjoy such as: Cello, Violin, Viola, Bass, Double bass, even the piano is involved in the orchestra. The wonderful Mrs. Missy Banker, the Orchestra teacher, as well as other students will make you feel welcome. You’ll even make some new friends who play the same instrument as you.
“String is not something that is accessible because it’s really expensive, as a kid I was gifted the choice to take private lessons by my Orchestra teacher,” said Mrs. Banker. Joining orchestra, you won’t even have to pay for your own instrument, you can borrow an instrument. As long as you don’t destroy the instrument then you won’t have to pay to borrow it.
Even if you feel nervous about starting something new like orchestra, don’t be, everyone will be there to support you. “Don’t be afraid to join even if you have no experience,” said Mrs. Banker. There are lots of reasons to like orchestra. Joby Nelson likes orchestra because he likes the music, learning new music, and meeting new people. You can play the double bass like Christian Mokoosio, the cello like Austin Ferrari and Caitlin, the violin like Andrea and Carly Ehlen, the viola, or even the original bass. All is accessible when you join orchestra. “Don’t be intimidated, you got this,” encouraged Carly Ehlen.
